HELP SPREAD THE SPAY/NEUTER MESSAGE: ISAR’s BILLBOARD PROGRAM

TO ISAR’s LOYAL SUPPORTERS:

At a modest, tax-deductible cost individuals, corporations, and others who share our commitment to reduction of companion animal overpopulation through spay/neuter can help ISAR make our humane education message heard along the highways and by-ways of America.

Through the use of eye-catching, 10’5” x 22’8” outdoor billboards!

Outdoor advertising on billboards has consistently proven to be a relatively inexpensive yet powerfully effective means of communicating advertising and public service messages to large numbers of motorists.

There wouldn’t be so many billboards all over the world unless outdoor advertisers were convinced they were getting their money’s worth.

Billboards get out the message!

That’s why ISAR conceived and implemented our Billboard Program, emphasizing the spay/neuter education component of our mission.

We, and our billboard partners have been very effective in using that method to spread our spay/neuter message to vast numbers of the American public.

For example, in a recent campaign our friends at Spay Austin Coalition in Texas installed three billboards in well-traveled areas of the capital city.

ISAR’s billboards have been ideal for advertising animal protection organizations themselves, shelter events, spay/neuter clinics, and especially International Homeless Animals’ Day® observances.

The success of our Billboard Program has now allowed us to take it to the next level.

Below are new billboard designs offered by ISAR.

ISAR "Sponsor a Billboard" design shown above was recently installed near our headquarters in Pennsylvania.

Note that the billboard’s eye-catching graphics and text identify ISAR and dramatically display our spay/neuter message. Note also that the billboard has been sponsored by a member of the local community, whose contact information appears prominently.

This billboard, which will remain in place for at least one month, is installed on a heavily traveled thoroughfare.

Lawyers, accountants, plumbers, electricians, or anyone else wishing to have a similar billboard installed in an area of their choice anywhere in the United States should contact ISAR.

ISAR now offers our "How Many Are Too Many - Spay/Neuter" and "Spay/Neuter It Reduces the Killing" designs to raise pet overpopulation awareness. ISAR will include your organization's name and contact information on our design to fit your spay/neuter campaign needs (two lines with 27 characters per line including spaces are provided for the printing of your organization’s name, phone number and/or message.)

With ISAR's Billboard Campaign, we’ll do all the work.

  • We’ll contact the outdoor advertising company and find out what space is available in the area you choose and for how long, so that you can decide where you want it installed.
  • We’ll order the billboard from our vendor, once you give us the name and other information you want to appear.
  • We’ll have the billboard shipped to the outdoor advertising company in whatever area you’ve selected.
  • We’ll make sure the billboard has been installed when and where it’s supposed to be.

All you’ll have to do is make a tax-deductible contribution to ISAR of our $100.00 cost for the paper poster or $115.00 for the posterflex material (some outdoor advertising companies will no longer accept paper posters) plus the outdoor advertising company’s charge for installation labor and space rental. Because most outdoor advertising companies have a reduced rate for 501(c)(3) organizations such as ISAR, in our experience the total cost of this effective way to spread the spay/neuter message will usually be less than $500.00.

In the February 2008 issue of Mother Jones magazine, ISAR’s friends at Paws & Claws Society, Inc. and New Jersey Animal Advocates came up with a fabulous new idea: transforming ISAR’s huge highway billboards into print media advertisements.

The folks at Paws & Claws and New Jersey Animal Advocates turned our billboard into the following half-page print advertisement. We encourage humane organizations to follow the lead of Paws & Claws and New Jersey Animal Advocates and use ISAR's billboards as print advertisements.
